A healthy glowing skin is at the top of the wish list of every man and woman. Many times it is not possible to rush to the salon to get beauty treatments or spend a lot on expensive cosmetic moisturizers.

Usually we use moisturizers for our face and body to keep it away from dryness, wrinkles and other skin aging conditions. Moisturizers are always best if they are naturally made at home. There is no problem with the expiry or skin types as you make as and when you want and use for all skin types. Natural Moisturizer Recipes

The cream that surfaces when you boil milk has excellent moisturizing properties. Just taking a spoon of it and mixing it with a few drops of rose water will result in homemade rose moisturizer.

With two teaspoons of milk, you can combine grape seed oil or tea tree oil and egg yolk and can apply for 10 minutes and rinsed well in warm water. This natural cream will moisturize skin deep as well as maintain the water balance throughout the day.

Squeeze out the juice of ginger and mix it with cream or butter. The mixture can be massaged well on skin for 5 minutes and washed with a teaspoon of gram flour.

Orange is great for skin, so adding a few drops of the juice to butter milk and cleansing face for a couple of minutes will give a natural glow to the face as well as penetrate through the pores and keep the skin fresh for the evening.

Honey is a good moisturizer as it tightens the skin as well as enhance the complexion. It also fights wrinkle formation. Adding a pinch of cardamom to honey will prevent acne.

Aloe Moisturizer Recipes Skin Types

Normal Skin – Take 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel and 1 tablespoon of essential almond oil.  Mix it well and use it as a regular moisturizer for normal skin.

Dry Skin – Take 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel, few drops of rose oil, 1 tablespoon of essential almond oil, 1 tablespoon of essential olive oil. Mix all the ingredients well and use it as a moisturizer for dry skin.

Combination Skin – Take 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel, 3 drops of tea pine oil and 1 tablespoon of essential oil. Mix it well and use it as a moisturizer for combination skin.

Body Moisturizer

Take 1/3 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of lime juice and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix all the ingredients well and store it in the refrigerator. You can use this mixture as a body moisturizer on a daily basis.

Face Moisturizer

Take 1 tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil, 1 teaspoon honey and 1 teaspoon lemon juice. Mix it well, and store it in the refrigerator for longer shelf life.

Night Eye Cream

Take ¼ cup of peeled potato, 1 tablespoon tea leaves and 1 teaspoon sesame oil. Blend all the ingredients together using a food processor.  Store it in the refrigerated to use for a longer time.

Refreshing Moisturizer

Take 1 cucumber, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of essential olive oil. Blend all the ingredients together in a food processor. Keep it refrigerated.

After-Bath Moisturizer

Take about 10 tablespoons of light essential oils like coconut, sesame, almond, etc. Mix it together and store it a bottle.  You can use this mixture after bath to attain smooth and, silky and supple skin.

Extra Tips

Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day to hydrate your skin. This works as a natural moisturizer.

Stay away from things like alcohol or excessive amounts of salt that draw moisture from your body.

Take omega 3, 6, and 9 supplements daily, but advisable after consulting your doctor.
