Castor oil helps improve blood circulation to the affected areas as well as lightens and softens the scar tissues. Regular massage is recommended for better results.
2) Castor Oil and Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil is known to possess antibacterial and antiseptic properties. When you combine both these oils, the result is amazing. It softens and lightens the scars.
Add 1 tablespoon of castor oil to 2-3 drops of tea tree oil, mix it well, apply the mixture on the acne scars, massage it gently for about 10-15 minutes with upward strokes, allow the oil to work on your scars for at least a few minutes, wipe off the oil from your face using a tissue, wash face with a mild soap and clean water, pat dry. Do it regularly for better results.
3) Castor Oil and Lemon
Lemon possesses anti-bacterial properties. The combined power of castor oil and lemon kills acne causing bacteria more effectively and reduces the risk for acne scars.
Add 1 tablespoon of castor oil to 1 – 1-1/5 teaspoon of lemon juice, apply it on the acne scars, massage for about 5-10 minutes, allow it to penetrate deeper into the scars, leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then wash face with a mild soap and clean water and pat dry. Regular usage is recommended for better results.
4) Castor Oil and Neem Oil
Known for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, neem oil in combination with castor oil acts as a powerful weapon against acne-causing bacteria. It is known to hasten the healing process as well as lightening of the skin.
Add 2-3 drops of neem oil to 1 tablespoon of castor oil, apply it on the scars, massage for at least 10-15 minutes, use tissue paper to wipe off the oil from your face, wash face with a mild soap and clean water, pat dry.
5) Castor Oil and Aloe Vera
