being unhealthy

Human beings generally tend to believe that they are invincible. Especially when it comes to own health or checking up with a doctor, they always want to believe that things are under their control portrays a picture of fine health.

There are actually a number of indications that we tend to ignore that are actually telling us that something is not right. Failure to pay attention to them will of course tend to lead to things getting worse. EHC brings you some signs and symptoms that tell you that you are unhealthy. What we can do is to recognize them and take curative actions.

Cracked lips

Apart from the weather impact, cracked lips, especially at the corners, can actually show that you have a vitamin B12 deficiency. A lack of this vitamin in your system can lead to health issues such as anemia and it will affect your blood, so look at either buying a supplement to boost the levels, eat foods that are high in it, or consult your doctor.

Growing short?

As we grow older, there is a tendency for us to shrink, but the rate at which this happens can indicate that there is some kind of issue with our bones and in particular with us developing osteoporosis. The problem with this bone disease is that it then means we are more likely to fracture a bone when we fall or develop curvature of the spine, so early diagnosis will allow you to make changes to your diet that can stop it from progressively getting worse.

Getting frequent colds

If you seem to be more prone to picking up colds it may indicate that you need to boost your immune system or there may be some kind of issue with it. You may be lacking in vitamin C or there could even be a virus attacking. You should get a blood test done to check if there is anything to be concerned about and try to improve your general health to give it that natural boost.

Urine is too yellow

It is important that you pay attention to the color of your urine as this can actually be a fantastic indicator about your general health. If you are hydrated your urine should be almost clear, but if you are drinking enough and it is still a dark yellow it may indicate that there is an issue with your kidneys and the waste is not being processed correctly. Look at increasing your fluid intake and see if it helps, but only drink water, and if it stays the same get your kidney function checked.

sleeping in office

Abnormal sleeping pattern

If you find that your sleep pattern is disturbed and you are suffering from some form of insomnia it does tend to point towards your body and mind being too stressed. When we sleep, our body is supposed to lower the amount of cortisol, but when we are stressed this does not happen and we are thrown out of sync. This can lead to illnesses due to our immune system not operating at full capacity.

Looking like an apple

Overweight people tend to fall into two categories: (1) “apples,” who carry their extra weight around the waist and belly, and (2) “pears,” who carry their weight around the hips and thighs. While being overweight is an indication of poor health, apple-shaped individuals are at higher risk of heart disease than pear-shaped people.

Always tired

You could be tired because your thyroid isn’t functioning properly, your adrenal glands are burned out, or your body is exhausted from expending all your resources trying to protect you from the toxic overload you’re bombarding your system with because of processed foods, cigarettes, alcohol, or environmental exposures. So don’t dismiss exhaustion. Paying attention to your fatigue just might save your life.

Snoring

Snoring may be the only early sign of sleep apnea, a sleep disorder characterized by obstruction in the airways that can increase your risk of pulmonary hypertension and subsequent heart failure.

anxiety girl

Anxiety

Anxious feelings can result from sex hormone imbalances, hyperthyroidism, adrenal tumors, and more. Usually, anxiety is the result of areas of your life being out of alignment with your true self. If you feel anxious for no reason at all, ask your doctor to test your hormones.

Severe constipation

Healthy bowels move every time you eat a meal. It’s called the “gastro-colic reflex.” When you insert food into the digestive tract, healthy bowels move to eliminate toxins and make room for new nutrition. When you are constipated, toxins in the body can seep through the lining of the bowel, enter the bloodstream, and cause inflammation, which can put you at risk.

Frequent itching

It could just be allergies or some other benign skin disorder, but excessive itchiness may also be the only whisper your body gives you when you are suffering from liver disease.
