Natural Remedies for Vaginal Dryness
Vaginal dryness is a common problem for women and is extremely uncomfortable.
It can affect women of all ages but your chance of vaginal dryness increases most often during and after menopause – this occurs between the ages of 40 and 59. Women on hormone replacement therapy, who are pregnant or breastfeeding are also susceptible to vaginal dryness.

As a result, women who suffer from vaginal dryness tend to steer away from sexual intercourse and often experience a drop in libido.

Aloe vera gel – Aloe vera is one of the effective home remedies for vaginal dryness. Aloe gel is known as a natural moisturizer. You can use Aloe vera gel with milk that helps to reduce vaginal dryness and it lubricates the vagina.
Turmeric with milk – It is a grandma’s effective home remedy for curing dryness in the vagina. Turmeric contains natural healing properties that can kill bacteria and keeps the vagina protected from viral infection. You need to take turmeric extract or paste and milk to make this remedy. After mixing the ingredients you should apply the mixture directly on the vagina for the best result.
Fenugreek seeds – Fenugreek seeds are excellent herb for women’s health. It improves sexual drive and helps to keep body hormone balanced. Take a teaspoon fenugreek seeds with a little water and bring it to boil for 15 minutes. Then drink it.
Sesame oil – Sesame oil is a natural lubricant is another effective home remedies for vaginal dryness. Take a cotton pad and soak it with sesame oil. Apply on the vaginal walls and continue it for at least a week to cure vaginal dryness.
Tea tree oil – Tea tree oil contains natural bacteria killing properties that can kill vaginal bacteria. Sometimes a certain bacteria can cause vaginal dryness and odor. Use few drops of tea tree oil directly in the vagina. It keeps you from bacterial infection and lubricates the vagina as well.
Do-It-Yourself Home Remedies
Rehydrate – Dehydration sometimes causes vaginal dryness. Drink plenty of water daily. A person should take at least 8-10 glasses of water a day.
Clean undergarments – Be careful about your regular under wears. Always use cotton undergarments to avoid itchiness and get enough air passage.
Avoid chemical products – Bubble bath using chemical products should be avoided because chemical products like scent soap tend to dry your vagina and can be the cause of long term vaginal dryness.
Nuts – High in fatty acids and many essential nutrients, try seeds and nuts for helping vaginal dryness.
Fish – Omega-3 is effective in reducing the signs and symptoms of menopause. Try a salmon fillet or canned tuna for increasing those levels and reducing any chance of vaginal dryness.
Soy – Hailed as a hero of menopause, soy is high in estrogen and is widely used to treat many menopausal symptoms.
Fruits – Easy additions for a woman to make to her diet are fruit and vegetables. In terms of vaginal dryness, why not make a tasty snack of yogurt with cherries and melon to help the problem. Any food that comes with natural water is a plus. Apples for example, are another to consider.
