Colon Cleansing – Natural Remedies
The procedure of colon cleansing has been around for centuries as a way to get rid the body of unwanted toxins. It is a natural way to improve your health and cleanse the soul!
If you experience constipation, bladder and kidney infections, vaginal yeast infections, bad breath, body odor, abdominal cramps, or toe and fingernail fungus, your colon may be calling for a cleaning up act.
The colon, a part of the digestive system is responsible for extracting water and salt from the solid wastes prior to release. At times, the colon does not function properly and causes a buildup of harmful toxins along the colon walls. This can cause headache, skin allergy, low energy level, vomiting, bloating and so on. If proper precaution is not taken on time, then it can lead to various diseases and illness such as heart diseases, gall bladder stones, asthma, skin allergies, and liver ailments.
A clean, healthy colon efficiently eliminates toxins. A clogged, unhealthy colon allows toxins to back up into the liver and bloodstream, polluting the entire system.
In the colon, water is squeezed out and absorbed from food remnants, leaving behind a mixture of non-digestible fiber, bacteria, bile acids and cells that have been scraped off the intestinal wall. If bowel transit time is too slow, bacteria and fungi proliferate and toxins are reabsorbed. A healthy colon eliminates waste within 6 to 18 hours after every meal – this means having two or three bowel movements a day.

Fresh apple juice is one of the best home treatments for colon cleansing. Regular intake of apple juice encourages bowel movements, breaks down toxins and improves the health of liver as well as the digestive system. Start your day with one glass of unfiltered apple juice and then after half an hour drink one glass of water. Throughout the day follow this routine several times. In between, you can also drink one glass of prune juice. Freshly squeezed apple juice should be used to get good results, but if it is not available then you can use organic apple juice.
